The Royal Dining Room has hosted the autobiographical writing course with the acclaimed writer Espido Freire. This summer course has been held in person, with 34 attendees and has also offered the possibility of participating live online through ZOOM.
The objective of the course has been to define what autofiction, autobiography, testimony, diary and memoirs have and what literary mean. Treat the theme of the self, the other, the double, the mirror and identity. As well as write and develop your own method of creation; define a project related to self-fiction.
The course has focused on discovering the psychological benefits of biographical writing, the relief of a confession, of revealing of obsessions, rescuing memories, and claiming personal or minority versions.
